Hyme Saloon

What is Hyme Saloon?

Hyme Saloon is a Copenhagen-based wedding attire rental service for brides who want a magical, unforgettable look without necessarily choosing the traditional wedding dress.

We believe your wedding budget might be better spent on a great DJ, excellent drinks, or simply a party you will never forget, rather than on a custom-made dress that will only be worn once.

Hyme Saloon is also about rethinking the way we approach wedding attire. Instead of using valuable resources to create a dress for a single day, we want to offer a more circular approach to bridalwear. Renting allows you to wear something truly unique without contributing to a culture where clothes are made to be worn once.

Our bride does not necessarily have a fixed idea of what a bridal look should be. It might be a sheer suit, a tiny dress with enormous gloves, or a dress that looks like a giant flower. These are looks that feel more editorial than traditional, and that give the bride something she will be remembered for.

Why “Hyme Saloon”?

Hyme comes from Hymenaios, the ancient Greek god of weddings and wedding celebrations. Saloon is the place where you kick open the doors, make an entrance, have a few drinks, dance on the tables and leave with a story worth remembering.

Who are we?

Per and Jeppe on their wedding day, 2025

Hyme Saloon was founded by Pernille, known as Per, and Jeppe, who got married themselves in 2025.

Per studied design at The Royal Danish Academy and went on to work as an editor at several of Denmark’s leading fashion magazines. Today, she works independently as a stylist on major television productions, designer and content creator.

Jeppe has worked in marketing for many years and, alongside Hyme Saloon, works for Amnesty International.

The idea for Hyme Saloon grew out of their own wedding. For the occasion, Per had a wedding dress made with a completely sheer skirt and a top covered in hundreds of tiny feather bouquets. She sewed the feathers on herself, cutting and dyeing them with tea to achieve the perfect off-white shade.

The dress and wedding were featured in magazines in Denmark and internationally, including British Vogue, and the dress went viral. Much of the response was wonderfully positive, with people falling in love with the dress and asking where they could find something similar.

But because the skirt was sheer, it also caused a rather spectacular internet shitstorm. Who, apparently, could possibly show their legs in a church? The question sparked plenty of debate online, particularly among Italian commenters.

What stood out to us, though, was how many women loved the dress and had no idea where to find something unconventional. Something that did not look like every other wedding dress. Something special, without spending a fortune.

It made us realise there was an idea here.

We think it is a shame to spend a huge amount of money and resources on something that is worn for one day. But choosing a more conscious or affordable option should not mean settling for something that disappears into the wallpaper.

So we have carefully sourced a selection of wedding looks that we believe can bring something truly unique to a truly unique day.

We are working towards offering a broad range of sizes. As a small company, we have not yet had the resources to source every style in every size, but we are continuously adding to our selection and are committed to becoming increasingly inclusive.

We cannot wait to hear from you. We are always happy to help, whether you already know exactly what you are looking for or need a little guidance finding the bridal look that feels completely right for you.
